Originally from Ocaña, Colombia, the L.A. based composer Orlando Perez Rosso, began his musical career as a mixing and recording engineer for a diverse group of artists and albums like Hecho a Mano, by the Latin Grammy award winning band: Monsieur Periné.

In 2008, Perez Rosso discovered his passion for film scoring after collaborating on Stolen Land, winner of the Best South American Documentary at the Habana International Film Festival. He then focused solely on scoring numerous film and television projects, including Cada Semana, which earned him a nomination for Best Original Score in a Documentary at the 2013 Jerry Goldsmith Awards in Cordoba, Spain.

In 2013, Perez Rosso relocated to Los Angeles to attend the Film Scoring program at UCLA Extension. Upon graduation, Perez Rosso continued to collaborate with directors, producers and fellow composers in a wide array of film, television and advertisement projects. Some of these collaborations are working with composer Michael Abels in Jordan Peele’s box office hit Get Out, and orchestrating movie trailers for composer Damian Wagner; for the latter, he orchestrated and co-arranged a version of the song “While My Guitar Gently Weeps” for the main trailer of the Academy Award nominated film Kubo and the Two Strings.

In 2016, Perez Rosso was selected as a mentee of the Society of Composers and Lyricist mentor program and co-founded the music company LoudMono with fellow composer Pablo Croissier. He’s currently composing the music for an upcoming VR video game and just finished recording between Abbey Road and Alvernia Studios his first Orchestral Production Music album for West One Music Group in London.
